HOW TO DO YOUR DAILY SKIN CARE
Simple skincare tips for you!
Our Skin
Our skin is the largest organ in our body. It serves as the first line of defense against harmful bacteria and viruses. However, it is also the most exposed and vulnerable. So, it's crucial to take good care of it. In this blog post, I will guide you on how to do your daily skin care routine and what treatments to do and what not to do every day, to keep your skin healthy and glowing.

Human skin
Epidermis

Dermis
Connective tissue, hair follicles, and sweat glands efficiently support, protect, regulate body temperature, and maintain skin health.
Hypodermis
It contains fat and connective tissue that play essential roles in insulation, protection, energy storage, blood vessels, nerves, body temperature regulation, and skin health.
Understanding Your Skin Type
Identifying your skin type is crucial for maintaining vibrant and healthy skin. It influences the effectiveness of your skincare products and routines. Whether your skin is dry, oily, combination, or normal, tailoring your skincare regimen to match your skin type is essential. Allow me to help you identify your skin type and choose the right skincare products for you.

Exploring Different Skin Types
Determining your skin type is crucial for an efficient skincare regimen. Customize your products according to whether your skin is dry, oily, combination, or normal to maintain a radiant complexion.

Normal Skin
Normal skin, scientifically known as eudermic
Maintains a balance between oil and moisture for a clear, radiant complexion.
Maintain skin hydration, sun protection, and natural radiance with moisturizer and sunscreen.

Dry Skin
Dry skin, scientifically known as xerosis
This skin type lacks natural oil, resulting in a dull, flaky, and occasionally itchy complexion.
To maintain healthy skin, stay hydrated, use moisturizer, gentle cleansers, avoid long hot showers, and protect skin from harsh weather with sunscreen and clothing.

Oily Skin
Excess sebum in oily skin causes a shiny complexion and raises the risk of acne and blackheads.
Control oil production without stripping the skin of its natural moisture.
Use gentle cleansers, oil-free moisturizers, salicylic acid, witch hazel, and niacinamide for oil control. Exfoliate weekly and wear non-comedogenic sunscreen.

Combination Skin
Characterized by an oily T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and dry cheeks. Just like me!
Balance is key - strip away the oil but keep the hydration flowing.
Clean gently, hydrate with a lightweight moisturizer, and exfoliate regularly for a balanced, healthy complexion.
Putting it all together
In conclusion, identifying your skin type is the first step towards choosing the right skincare products and maintaining a beautiful, healthy complexion. Always remember that everyone's skin is different, and what works for one person may not work for another. The key is to listen to your skin, observe how it reacts to different products and ingredients, and adjust your skincare routine accordingly. Happy skincare!
